Control, manoeuvre and isolation single phase transformers

The P, Q, N, IP and PXR series are single-phase transformers with galvanic isolation that have various input and output voltages, configurable by the user. The equipment of these series is generally used for control and switching, although they are also valid for isolating circuits or low power equipment.

These series are subdivided according to their output voltages:

  • P/Q/N inputs 230/400/460V and outputs PB/QB/NB: 12/24V PC/QC/NC: 24/48V PD/QD/ND: 115/230V
  • IPD 230/400/460V inputs and 115/230V outputs
  • PXR 230/400V inputs with ±15V regulation and 230V output

The P, Q and N series includes a rating range as from 40VA up to 5000VA and due to its design, an IP20 degree of protection is obtained that prevents direct electrical contact and perfectly protects the windings.

The IP series includes a rating range as from 100VA up to 2000VA and its IP54 cover makes these devices an ideal solution for outdoor installations.

On the other hand, the PXR series includes a rating range as from 40VA up to 1600VA and has an IP00 degree of protection.

Some of its utilities:

  • The isolation of circuits, being able to increase or decrease the voltage at the output.
  • To change the neutral regime of the installations, being able to go from a two-phase network to a single-phase network or vice versa (this case implies the generation of the artificial neutral).
  • In installations with a certain level of electrical noise, the use of a transformer helps to improve the quality of the electrical network in its secondary.
  • Installations where safety voltages are required (<50 V).
  • Being able to isolate the most sensitive devices in a control panel.
  • Extract different control voltages in an electrical panel.
