Three-phase to single-phase isolation transformers (input-output)
This series is made up of isolation transformers with 400V three-phase input and 230V single-phase output and have a rating range as from 10kVA up to 500kVA.
They are used in applications where the single-phase consumption in an installation is very large and it is desired to distribute this load in a three-phase system, to avoid important unbalances.
Some of its utilities:
- It should be noted that, due to its operation, this type of transformer does not achieve a fully balanced distribution in the primary. The current in the central phase of the primary can be twice the nominal current.
- The use of this type of transformer is recommended for ratings greater than 5kVA, since it is understood that in most industrial installations, for consumption less than or equal to this rating, it does not entail a considerable consumption load. For ratings less than or equal to 5kVA, we recommend using conventional single-phase transformers of the “PD”, “QD”, “ND” or “TK” series.
Constructive features:
- All the transformers are dipped in anti-flash varnish and then compacted in the oven. This process increases the insulation grade, reduces noise and provides anti-moisture, waterproofed protection.
- All the connection terminals are made of copper. For transformers with aluminium coils, internal bimetallic AL-CU connections are made by welding with filling and sealing material to ensure a safe, long-lasting connection.
- The high-power transformers are manufactured with format cores and low losses properties, thus contributing to improving performance
